Carnivalism Update 08.05.03

The Bank holiday brought each and every party hungry animal out for a good old feed and feast you did!

As usual, thanks for making the last Carnivalism follow our theory – your support has ensured that our 3rd event in Play will now take place.

Feedback has been that you like the venue so we are doing our best that we continue with events there.  We are always looking for new places to play so if you want a local party and know of a good venue let us know, we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Guardian covers Carnivalism

Our last night at play got a mention in the Guardian weekend guide.  We are always looking for reviewers so if you are interested please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Next Carnivalism, Saturday 5th July – Play

We have just confirmed that Marcus Price (Dragon/ Embassy/ Charterhouse) will be opening proceedings for the next Carnivalism.

Carnivalism meets Buenodiscoclub May 25th

The Buenodiscoclub girls Andy & Claire started our May Carnivalism  with an eclectic mix of funk, pop, soul, hip-hop, Latin, rock, Motown, jizbop, jazz & reggae. We will be returning the favour by supporting them at the Buenodiscoclub at the Lincoln Lounge, Kings Cross Sunday25th May (yes another bank holiday mash up!)

Carnivalism joins Lomography

Matt and Emma’s have joined the Lomography Society International a worldwide collective of Lomo photographers.

The Lomo camera – The legendary Lomo Kompakt Automat is a small, black, aromatic, robust, precise and fully automatic snapshot camera made in St. Petersburg, Russia. With Professor Radionov’s (whoever he was) lens: for razor-sharp images, highly light sensitive, 32mm wide-angle. This beady little eye sees everything and makes colours radiate.

You can see our web page on the Lomography society website by clicking on the following link. You may even recognize some of the images!

Carnivalism Mix CD Two

Arguments have begun  about what the hell to put on Carnivalism’s second mix cd due out later this year.  If you have a particular favourite from our nights that you feel deserves an airing let us know.  The first cd was recorded for Christmas last year and is still available, please send us an email if you would like one.
